Campus House Campaign
In the summer of 2017, Central Christian Church decided that they were going to act on the burden that they had felt for the lost at University of Arkansas Fort Smith. They began looking for a campus minister and making arrangements to build a residential campus housing program. In the spring of 2018 the college ministry launched and they hit the ground running. That following summer they acquired three houses that were within walking distance of the campus, and began renovating them. All the while God was preparing hearts of college students to move into those houses that following fall.
We are beginning to see our dream for campus ministry take shape. We have our Campus Houses in working order, our students are meeting regularly and we are beginning to see the ministry expand and grow. Many of you are already involved in serving our college students through work projects at the Campus Houses, preparing meals for hungry students, connecting with college students and prayer.
We want to challenge you to get involved in campus ministry in a significant way. We are now beginning to see the many months of dreaming, planning, working and praying produce results! So, it is time for us to take on the next challenge…. our Campus House Campaign. When we began the process, we created a Campus House Fund to pay down the cost of the properties. It has taken a significant amount of the funds that we have received to bring the houses up to current building codes, install safety equipment, remodel and furnish the homes. Through this process we have acquired close to 1 million dollars worth of property. Currently, as of June 2, we still need to raise $375,000 to pay off the entire debt.
Would you consider giving sacrificially to to further the Kingdom?
